PEOPLE who will mourn their deceased loved ones at the city’s cemeteries on the Qingming Festival, which will fall tomorrow, are advised to make appointments online before visiting.

Reservations can be made via the “i深圳” app and the “智慧殡葬” official WeChat account of the Shenzhen Funeral and Interment Administration, according to a guidance report released by the city’s transport bureau yesterday.

Historic data showed the peak for tomb sweeping during Qingming is expected to arrive between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. tomorrow, and the traffic on roads to city’s cemeteries will be slow.

The roads to cemeteries in Songgang in Bao’an, Yuanshan,  Nanwan and Buji in Longgang will be crowded. Traffic controls will be imposed on roads to Longgang’s Longshan and Bao’an Fudi cemeteries, and visitors are advised to take public transport to the areas.

There will be rain during the Qingming Festival. According to the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory, the city will experience moderate rain during the first 10 days of April.

In addition, during Qingming, the expressways will be toll free for cars that have no more than seven seats. The city’s expressways are expected to be crowded with vehicles tomorrow afternoon.
