WITH the smooth pouring of the last truck of concrete Tuesday, the construction height of the T1 building of the Qianhai Longwan International Talent Apartment project officially surpassed 100 meters and entered the sprint stage of construction, paving the way for the main structure to be completed in September.

Located in Qianhai’s Guiwan area, the project will become the first high-end talent apartment building in Qianhai to provide a cozy living space for top talents, especially for those from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas talents who work and invest in Qianhai.

The project is invested by the Shenzhen Qianhai Talent Leju Co. Ltd. and constructed by the China Construction Eighth Engineering Division. It takes a twin-tower design and will provide 1,036 sets of apartments with an indoor space ranging from 65 to 155 square meters, which will be tenantable next fall.

According to Zhang Shanzhuang, executive manager of the project, the building comprehensively applied the building information modeling (BIM) technology in the construction process to accurately output construction drawings and present each key construction node and construction focus in a three-dimensional manner, so as to improve design quality and communication efficiency, and reduce changes in design.

The project’s innovative applications of BIM technology also won first prize at the 12th Innovation Cup BIM Application Contest and bronze prize at the fourth Youlu Cup National BIM Technology Contest in 2021.

“In addition, the apartments adopt a centralized cooling method, which will use the cool air provided by the No. 5 Cooling Station in Qianhai to reduce energy consumption,” Zhang said.
