Tracks validated SCIENTISTS have confirmed that the fossilized footprints found in a restaurant in Southwest China were left by long-necked dinosaurs that lived on Earth around 100 million years ago. The unprecedented discovery was made last year by a Chinese diner and soon captured headlines all over the world due to the unusual location. Now, an international team of paleontologists have had their findings published in the latest edition of the journal Cretaceous Research, after they used a 3D scanner to analyse these “restaurant tracks.” They confirmed that the tracks, ranging from 50 cm to 60 cm in length, were probably left by sauropods measuring eight meters to 10 meters long. High-altitude airports CHINA currently has 43 airports that are no less than 1,524 meters above sea level, the most in the world, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Among them, 23 airports stand at altitudes of 2,438 meters or higher, while 20 airports are between 1,524 meters and 2,438 meters above sea level. Since 2012, the country’s technology for building airports in high-altitude areas and high-latitude permafrost regions has gradually matured, according to the CAAC. Campaign launched CHINA has launched a campaign to boost consumption in the cultural and tourism sectors, according to a circular issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The campaign, which will last until the end of this year, also aims to ensure the people benefit from consumption. The circular demands formulating and implementing measures to subsidize consumers and ease the difficulties facing small and micro enterprises. |
