Renowned for its subtle and refined needlework, Suzhou earned a prestigious reputation globally and was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006. As one of the four most powerful states in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.), the Jin State used to cover areas in modern Shanxi Province and parts of Shaanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong and Inner Mongolia. The free exhibition ends July 23.
