Suzhou embroidery

Visitors can admire amazing Suzhou embroidery works at an exhibition running through early June. Suzhou embroidery has a history of more than 2,000 years. Renowned for its subtle and refined needlework, Suzhou earned a prestigious reputation globally and was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.

Jin relics

More than 160 relics on loan from Shanxi Museum are on display at a new exhibition on the Jin State (1033-376 B.C.). As one of the four most powerful states in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.), the Jin State used to cover areas in modern Shanxi Province and parts of Shaanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong and Inner Mongolia. The free exhibition ends July 23.

Paintings and calligraphy

Paintings and calligraphic works by Chinese artists Zhou Sicong and Lu Chen will be exhibited from Saturday to June 25. The 80-plus pieces were created from 1963 through 2003. Entry is free.
