Visitors and exhibitors negotiate business deals at the second phase of the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, which kicked off in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, on Sunday. The five-day expo has established an import exhibition for the first time, with 130 companies from 26 countries and regions showing their products at 13 display areas. The Canton Fair began April 15 and will last until May 5 in three phases. Launched in 1957 and held twice yearly, the fair is considered a major gauge of China’s foreign trade. This year’s fair resumed all on-site activities, after being held largely online since 2020 due to the pandemic.          Xinhua
