Visitor arrivals in HK HONG KONG recorded provisional visitor arrivals of 2.89 million for April, an 18% increase from the previous month, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) said Monday. The daily average figure of the month is equivalent to about 58% of the average between the 2017-2019 period. Most visitors in April came from the mainland and Southeast Asia. With the last weekend of the month preceding the five-day Labor Day holiday, the number of mainland visitors showed a remarkable increase, said the HKTB. Satellite images THE first images from Fengyun-3G (FY-3G), China’s first precipitation measurement satellite in a low inclination orbit, were released Monday, according to the China Meteorological Administration. The images captured by six payloads on FY-3G show the three-dimensional structure of precipitation at different levels, which could improve monitoring and forecasts related to major precipitation systems. International forum AN international forum on knowledge-sharing related to South-South cooperation was held in Beijing on Monday, which was expected to create new and digital forms of cooperation. Jointly hosted by the U.N. World Food Program and the China International Communications Group (CICG), the forum was attended by nearly 100 institution representatives both online and offline.
