Cultural fair launches digital ticket
    2023-05-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) has introduced its first digital ticket, with a limited edition of 1,000 pieces, showcasing the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

ICIF will take place in Shenzhen from June 7 to 11.

The digital ticket, which will be sold online, is based on the fair’s mascot, a little water droplet named Wen Peng and has incorporated a Guangdong cultural element of the “lion dance,” thus catching the name “lion dance droplet.”

The digital ticket replicated the details of the lion dance costumes, including the colors and texture. The headwear of the “lion dance droplet,” with various colors and decorations, is designed after a Cantonese opera facial mask representing loyalty and victory as well as possessing wealth.

The shoes of the “lion dance droplet” are like those for lion dance performances.

The ticket’s background features Chaoshan-style papercutting.

In addition to the digital ticket, ICIF also launched blind boxes designed with elements from Peking opera, with a limited edition of 1,000 as well. The 1,000 blind boxes are made up of toy models holding different weapons including halberds, spears, swords and coachwhips.
