A man scans a QR code on his phone to board a bus. Passengers using the Shenzhen Tong app, AlipayHK or any Alipay payment app can pay for their bus and Metro fares in Hong Kong and Shenzhen starting from today. The SZ-HK Code Pass program, the Shenzhen Tong app and Alipay app users in Shenzhen can switch their QR code to the Hong Kong QR code when they take public transport in Hong Kong. The fare will be settled based on the foreign exchange rate on the date of use of the service, a release from Shenzhen transport bureau said yesterday.
