周二福建省高级人民法院对吴谢宇故意杀人、诈骗、买卖身份证件上诉一案二审公开宣判，裁定驳回上诉，维持原判。请看本报昨日的报道：

The Fujian High People’s Court on Tuesday upheld the death sentence handed down to Wu Xieyu, a former Peking University student who killed his mother, after it heard the appeal case.

The 28-year-old was given the death penalty by the Intermediate People’s Court in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian Province, in August 2021 for intentional homicide, fraud and the illegal purchasing of identity cards. He was also fined 103,000 yuan (US$14,639).
