SMBU trading volume THE total trading volume at the Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU) subvenue of the 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) reached 290 million yuan (US$40.6 million), including on-site transactions of 1.15 million yuan and intended transactions of 280 million yuan. SMBU has been designated as the only university subvenue for ICIF for the third consecutive year. E-commerce sellers THE China (Shenzhen) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area has been recognized as one of the top-tier areas of its kind in 2022, according to the evaluation results released by the Ministry of Commerce. Since its establishment as a pilot area in 2014, the volume of foreign trade conducted by cross-border e-commerce companies has experienced remarkable growth, reaching over 190 billion yuan (US$26.61 billion) in 2022, compared to 2.91 billion yuan in 2017. Shenzhen is home to 150,000 cross-border e-commerce sellers, accounting for around half of the Chinese sellers on major e-commerce platforms, including Alibaba.com and eBay. Auto show THE 2023 Guangdong Hong-Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show is scheduled to take place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District from June 16 to 24. Covering an area of around 150,000 square meters in halls 1-9, the event will display 1,000 new vehicle models from 100 domestic and international auto brands. The show will also feature dedicated areas for forums, test driving, unmanned intelligent driving, and the exhibition of intelligent technologies. |
