Smart running track opens to the public at Tanglang Mountain Country Park
    2023-06-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TANGLANG Mountain Country Park in Shenzhen has unveiled an innovative addition to its offerings — a state-of-the-art smart running track designed to provide a technologically immersive marathon experience for both amateur and professional runners, sznews.com reported.

After undergoing a two-month trial operation involving over 2,000 participants in more than 20 test events, the track is now officially open to the public.

Equipped with various advanced features, the smart running track includes self-service race bib issuance cabinets, storage lockers, prize lockers, and a 65-inch (165-centimeter) large-screen data terminal. Additionally, three machines are installed for users to record their running distances and time.

To access the track, users need to register on the Hiyou Sport (慧云智跑) WeChat miniprogram. They will then receive a number tag, similar to those used in marathon races, which can be utilized for storing bags and collecting prizes using the park’s intelligent devices.

The track was created through collaboration between Shenzhen Park Service, Tanglang Mountain Country Park and Shenzhen Hiyou Sport Network Technology Co. Ltd.

Hiyou Sport organizes different types of races every month for citizens to participate in. Individuals can choose events that best suit their own preferences. In addition, individuals, families and teams have the option to organize their own races using the miniprogram.

“Our goal is to efficiently organize formal races at a lower cost, allowing all participants to enjoy the benefits of technology and minimize the barriers to entry in marathon running,” explained You Yong, founder of Hiyou Sport.

The highlight of this intelligent fitness track system is its support for individuals, families, communities and corporate teams to host running competitions. Various types of competitions are available, including challenges based on the number of runs, total mileage or the traditional race format.

According to You, the intelligent fitness track is currently in the trial phase and is exclusively implemented at Tanglang Mountain Country Park. However, there are plans to expand its availability to more public sports venues in Shenzhen that are suitable for marathon running in the future.
