Lion dancers perform on stage at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Lion King Championship yesterday morning in Xixiang Subdistrict, Bao’an District. Ten teams representing different regions in Guangdong Province displayed their exquisite lion dancing skills Saturday and yesterday in Xixiang, the first stop of the competition. The other four stops are Yangjiang, Heshan, Shunde and Hong Kong. The championship, featuring both traditional lion dance and high-pole lion dance categories, is scheduled to continue until December. The grand finale will take place in Fuyong Subdistrict, Bao’an District.             Lin Jianping
