Flight to Linzhi opens tomorrow
    2023-07-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN Bao’an International Airport, in partnership with China Southern Airlines, will launch the highly anticipated direct flight between Shenzhen and Linzhi, a city in Southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, to cater to passengers’ growing travel demands.

The maiden flight is scheduled for tomorrow, Dute News reported.

Flight CZ5843 will depart from Shenzhen at 6:55 a.m. every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Return flight CZ5844 will depart from Linzhi at 11:50 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The route will remain operational until the end of September.

Linzhi, known as the “Pearl of the Snowland,” is an area that Shenzhen has been designated to assist under the paired-up assistance program, a unique practice in China’s poverty alleviation drive.

With the opening of the new flight route, the travel time between Shenzhen and Linzhi will be reduced to four hours, facilitating trade and cultural exchanges between the two regions and boosting the local tourism industry. (SD News)
