RESIDENTS can now access a total of 101 public services through Qianhai Authority, effective from Aug. 26, according to a document recently released by the municipal government.

These services, which used to fall under the jurisdiction of municipal and district-level departments, span across six major categories, namely investment, planning and construction, urban renewal, maritime development, rule-of-law building and other related affairs.

Among the 101 public services on offer, some notable examples include government investment project approvals, registration of enterprise investment projects, permissions for lawyers to practice and change their practicing institutions, recruitment of overseas returnees, temporary land use approvals, construction permit applications, and applications for sea area usage.

The initiative aims to enhance the overall convenience for businesses and the general public in Qianhai, while also optimizing the area’s business environment, Qianhai officials said.
