THE Shenzhen checkpoint authority announced Thursday that the full resumption of inbound freight truck clearance services, including the transportation of edible aquatic animals and fruits, at Wenjindu Checkpoint is scheduled at 7 a.m. Friday. A ground sinking took place at Wenjindu Checkpoint on July 9, prompting the temporary suspension of inbound passenger and freight truck clearance services, according to the official announcement released by the Office of Port of Entry and Exit of the Shenzhen Municipal Government. On July 19, the clearance services for inbound passenger vehicles, including both cars and buses, were restored. The office announced the full resumption of clearance services for inbound freight trucks following intensive repair efforts and comprehensive safety evaluations by professional organizations.
