Passengers on the first direct flight between Shenzhen and Linzhi, also known as Nyingchi, pose for a group photo before takeoff Wednesday. Flight CZ5843 completed its journey to Linzhi, a city in Southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, in just four hours. The new route, operated by China Southern Airlines, offers three weekly round-trip flights, departing from Shenzhen every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and returning from Linzhi every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The route is scheduled to remain operational until the end of September, catering to the travel needs of summer explorers. Linzhi, renowned for its enchanting landscapes, is a region that Shenzhen has been designated to support under the pairing assistance program, a distinctive initiative in China’s efforts to alleviate poverty.
