International artists return to SZ stage

Maksim Mrvica

Croatian pianist Maksim Mrvica, who was a frequent performer in Shenzhen before the pandemic and has enchanted local audiences with his energetic approach to playing the piano, is set to make a return for a concert. The virtuoso pianist gained international recognition for his unique fusion of classical music with contemporary elements. His performances are often accompanied by elaborate visual effects, appealing to both classical music lovers and electronic music fans. At the Shenzhen concert, Maksim will perform crossover tunes and classical masterpieces.

Westlife

Irish pop vocal group Westlife, who started its “The Wild Dreams Tour” in Britain last year, will give a concert in Shenzhen. Consisting of Shane Filan, Markus Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne, Westlife has achieved great success with their heartfelt songs incorporating pop with R&B, creating a signature sound that resonates with listeners. Over the years, Westlife has released numerous hit singles and albums, becoming one of the most successful bands in history.

Hayato Sumino

Japanese pianist Hayato Sumino (aka  Cateen) was a semifinalist at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021. While building a solid position in classical music, he is attracting attention as a new type of pianist who focuses on all music that goes beyond genres. He has over 1 million YouTube subscribers and is a Casio electronic musical instrument ambassador and Steinway artist.

Lisa Ono

With acoustic guitar arrangements, her performances create a warm and intimate atmosphere.

‘Spirit of the Dance’

The international smash hit “Spirit of the Dance” features a mix of traditional and contemporary dance styles. Created and choreographed by Irish dancer and producer David King, this extravaganza takes dance to the next level, in an explosive fusion of Irish step dance, flamenco, tango, salsa, ballet and modern dance. The show gained international recognition for its vibrant performances and intricate choreography.

Sophie Zelmani

While primarily rooted in folk and acoustic pop, Zelmani’s style has evolved over the years to incorporate elements of pop, jazz and blues influences.
