Dancers from Kashgar in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region perform at a cultural event held in Nantou Ancient Town on Friday. The event, co-hosted by authorities in Shenzhen and Kashgar, featured the charm of Kashgar’s dances and melodies, as well as its intangible cultural heritage, aiming to further foster cultural exchanges between Shenzhen and Kashgar, a region that Shenzhen has been designated to assist under the paired-up assistance program, a distinctive initiative in China’s poverty alleviation efforts.
