HUAWEI announced Wednesday plans to establish its first global cloud factory empowerment center, along with two other major projects in Qianhai, during a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony between Huawei and the Qianhai Authority.

According to the agreement, Huawei and Qianhai will join forces to build a global cloud factory with distinct industrial characteristics, a robust software ecosystem, and strong collaborative networks. By integrating various resources such as industrial operators, design service providers, component suppliers, and logistics partners, the partnership aims to develop industrial big data and train large-scale models for intelligent, digital, green, and high-end manufacturing. The initiative will also serve as a benchmark for corporate transformation.

The global cloud factory will demonstrate Huawei’s commitment to integrated innovation in the industrial sector and its exploration of new business models by leveraging its digital technology prowess. The factory is designed as an innovative approach to industrial production characterized by global resource allocation, production streamlining, and talent collaboration.

The collaboration between Qianhai and Huawei will also focus on the data field by actively supporting high-quality data brokerage companies in sectors like finance, health care, trade and logistics. The initiative is set to contribute to the establishment of a platform and an operational framework for data brokers.

Furthermore, the partnership involves the establishment of the Huawei Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Industry Service Center and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Computing Power Center.

The computing power center will provide specialized services to companies that focus on artificial intelligence (AI) in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This includes AI computing resource supply, computing power scheduling, verification, and adaptation. The construction of computing infrastructure, network systems, security systems, and operational systems will be accelerated to facilitate service delivery.
