DELEGATIONS from over 100 countries and regions have confirmed participation in the 25th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), the largest in its history in terms of exhibition area, its organizers said at a press conference yesterday.

This year’s fair, which will cover a combined area of 500,000 sqm, will be held simultaneously at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District and the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an from Nov. 15 to 19.

Nine Belt and Road countries will send ministerial-level officials to set up national pavilions at the fair to showcase their latest technologies and products, and hold investment promotions and roadshows.

Russia’s ministry of science and higher education will organize renowned universities and research institutions to participate. GasProm Neft, Russia’s largest oil firm, will send a 30-member delegation to attend the fair. Hungary will hold an opening ceremony for its national pavilion, where its latest electric cars and light sports aircraft will be shown.

The X-Lake Forum, a key sideline event of the fair, will be held from Nov. 15 to 19 at the International Convention Center in Shenzhen University Town, inviting experts, scholars, business leaders, and innovative talents from across the world to share their insights on integrated development, cutting-edge technology innovation, and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening.

The 2023 Shenzhen Enterprise Innovation and Development Conference, another key sideline event, will take place Nov. 17 at the Yungu International Convention Center in Guangming District, aiming to promote technological innovation and facilitate exchange and cooperation among enterprises.

CHTF will continue to host the Shenzhen X9 Alliance of Universities and Institutes Rowing League, with academicians and students from renowned universities such as the University of Hong Kong, University of Macao, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Westlake University to attend.

CHTF will be livestreamed with a digital host for the first time this year; and in addition, CHTF IP cultural and creative products like themed canvas bags, co-branded coffee mugs, and IP character stickers will be showcased at the venues.

During the fair, CHTF-themed light shows will also be held at the Civic Center, Shenzhen Bay Park, Nanshan Talent Park, OCT Harbor and Nantou Ancient Town. Free public transportation will be available for visitors to easily travel to both CHTF’s major venues.
