JIANG HEPING, former president of CGTN America, delivered a lecture at the Shenzhen News Group yesterday, where he shared his rich experience and valuable insights on international communication from 10 aspects.

In a succinct overview, Jiang elaborated on 10 key points, emphasizing the critical role of timeliness, the importance of adopting a big-picture perspective, the value of lifelong learning, the imperative of innovation, and effective methods for enhancing reporting. The lecture also delved into essential international communication capacities and mindsets.

Jiang underscored the significance of integrating content, technologies, and channels to cater to users’ needs. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of delivering balanced reports in the realm of international communication.

Noteworthy among Jiang’s achievements is his orchestration of the groundbreaking live debate between Liu Xin of CGTN and Trish Regan of Fox Business Network in 2019. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in launching the “Together for a Shared Future” media action at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. in 2022.
