THE 2023 GBA Talents Fair and the 27th National Autumn Fair for Graduates, said to be the largest job fair this year, will be held at Hall 17 in the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Bao’an District tomorrow and Thursday.

As a centerpiece event of the second National Conference on the Development of Human Resources Services, the job fair is expected to draw 1,200 enterprises to offer nearly 50,000 vacancies, with over 90% of the openings targeting recent graduates, a source from the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said yesterday.

Participating enterprises span across 45 diverse industries, with the number of State-owned enterprises (SOEs), listed companies, high-tech enterprises, and “little giant” enterprises that specialize in niche products utilizing specialized and sophisticated technologies each surpassing 100.

Predominantly engaged in the electronics and internet sectors, these enterprises are seeking candidates for roles in hardware and software development, research and development, and machine operations, with some positions offering monthly salaries of up to 50,000 yuan (US$6,964.76).

The event organizer has invited more than 60 key enterprises in the industrial chain, including industry leaders such as Luxshare and Han’s Laser, as well as research institutes like the Guangdong Academy of Sciences and Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, according to the human resources and social security bureau.

Distinct areas have been designated for key enterprises in the industrial chain, enterprises from Hong Kong and Macao, SOEs, listed companies, and individuals with doctoral or master’s degrees. The array of available positions caters to a wide spectrum of jobseekers, accommodating different educational backgrounds.

In the area dedicated to individuals with doctoral or master’s degrees, institutions such as the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shenzhen Bay Laboratory will be offering positions for postdoctoral and assistant researchers.

Key enterprises and institutions such as TCL, Southern Railway, Peking University International Hospital, and the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen are also participating in the fair to attract talent.
