An interior view of the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport satellite concourse Dec. 7, 2021 when it commenced operation. For its exceptional architecture and design, the project has been listed as one of the world’s most beautiful airports by the prestigious Prix Versailles, according to the official website of the award. Twenty-four airports from all over the world are chosen for their ability to showcase architecture as an important font of “intelligent sustainability” in the broader human environment. Four of them are from China. The other three Chinese airports are Beijing Daxing International Airport, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, and Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. Prix Versailles is a series of architectural competitions that shine a light on the finest contemporary projects worldwide.Xinhua
