    2023-11-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Sino-German Symposium on Physics and the 32nd GCPD Annual Meeting took place in Pingshan District on Saturday and Sunday, attracting academicians and scholars from China and Germany who shared their insights on basic and advanced physics.

The event brought together 15 distinguished academicians from China and Germany, as well as young scholars from nearly 50 higher education institutions, research institutes, and leading tech companies.

The event was jointly organized by the Society of Chinese Physicists in Germany (GCPD), Shenzhen Technology University, and Pingshan’s government departments.

Themed “Semiconductor Materials and Advanced Optoelectronic Technology,” the meeting featured academic reports by the academicians, presentations by young scholars, an introduction to investing in Pingshan District, and organized visits to Shenzhen Technology University and companies in Pingshan, including BYD and O-Net Technologies. These activities aimed to foster international communication among talented individuals in technology, thereby accelerating innovation and boosting Pingshan’s industrial development.

One of the highlights was an exchange meeting held at the Shenzhen Talent Institute East Campus on Saturday, where experts engaged in discussions on basic and advanced research in physics. (Chen Siqi)
