SZSO, Mario Alonso

The Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra (SZSO) will collaborate with teachers from the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Shenzhen, to present a concert tomorrow to mark the second anniversary the music school, as well as the 60 anniversary of the CUHK and the 10th anniversary of the CUHK-Shenzhen. The concert will feature pieces composed by Ye Xiaogang, Keiko Abe, Tan Jianchang, Wieniawski, Brahms, Rossini, Bizet and Lehár. On Wednesday, Spanish pianist Mario Alonso will play tunes by Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Falla.

Ghostly Kisses

Michael Kaeshammer

Canadian pianist Michael Kaeshammer will play an evening of Chinese and Western tunes at a concert. Kaeshammer has developed a style that weaves threads of classical, jazz, blues, boogie-woogie and pop into a signature sonic tapestry.

‘Carmen’
