Shenzhen-based electric vehicle (EV) juggernaut BYD Co. said Wednesday it plans to buy back 200 million yuan (US$27.9 million) worth of its Shenzhen-listed shares as doubts over its sales targets and smart-car capabilities drove a US$12 billion selloff in its shares last month.
