A citizen riding an electric bike braves the snow in Beijing on Thursday. A cold wave, the strongest so far this winter, is sweeping across large parts of China, with northern regions experiencing record-breaking cold temperatures. It is expected to reach the coast of southern Guangdong on Saturday, bringing down temperatures in Shenzhen to as low as 7 degrees Celsius next week. According to local weather forecast, the city will see the mercury dropping to 10 degrees Celsius on Sunday with strong winds and 7 degrees Celsius next Thursday.
