Chen Siqi vankochensq@163.com A CULTURAL and creative artifact – SNG Incense Burner designed by Zee Wong, resident creative director of Shenzhen Daily — along with 188 other captivating cultural and creative designs, are being exhibited at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Futian District, as part of the Fourth Cultural and Creative Design Exhibition in Shenzhen. Curated under the theme of art and design tracks of Shenzhen, the 189 creations were selected from the submissions from designers, art enthusiasts, and both college students and fellows. Each piece is a testament to innovation, contemporary fashion, favorable ecology, and the new era of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The selections were formally announced Thursday, signifying their qualification for being on display at the exhibition. The exhibition kicks off today and will last until Jan. 21. Admission is free. Visitors can immerse themselves in a creative market, engaging exchanges, and various other artistic events throughout the exhibition period. Shenzhen Daily’s contribution, created by Wong, successfully navigated the rigorous review process. Wong said the incense burner, ingeniously designed in 2022, serves a dual purpose for both incense sticks and back-flow incense cones. Adorned with the letters S, N, and G, the design commemorates the 20th anniversary of Shenzhen News Group. Wong revealed that the work was conceptualized in Shenzhen and crafted with the help of a carpenter in Zhongshan. |
