Cold spell

THE Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory announced yesterday that the winter monsoon will persist, bringing cold and dry weather to the city over the next few days. Temperatures are expected to range between 7 and 20 degrees Celsius from tomorrow until Tuesday. Residents are advised to put on warm clothes and ensure proper indoor ventilation.

Train services

IN response to the anticipated surge in travel demand during the Christmas and New Year holidays, the railway authority in Shenzhen has announced the addition of 22 daily high-speed train services between Hong Kong West Kowloon and Futian stations, as well as Shenzhen North Railway Station. These additional services will operate from tomorrow to Dec. 26 and Dec. 29 to Jan. 1.

With over 200 trains running daily during this period, passengers have the flexibility to choose from these additional services, transport officials said.
