Thallium poisoning
    2023-12-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Zhu Ling, the victim of an unsolved thallium poisoning case in 1994 that left her permanently disabled, passed away Friday, Tsinghua University said on its Weibo post Saturday.

Zhu’s death was also confirmed by her father Wu Chengzhi to the news outlet Southern Metropolis Daily, the paper reported Saturday.

Zhu, who majored in chemistry at the prestigious Tsinghua University, started to experience stomach pain, hair loss and other strange and debilitating symptoms in late 1994. She sunk into a coma four months later.
