Project approval

THE Shenshan Hub project in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone has secured joint approval for its preliminary design and estimated cost from the Guangdong Provincial Government and China State Railway Group Co. Ltd.

Nestled in the future central area of the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, the hub will have five platforms and 13 rail lines. With an estimated cost of approximately 6.2 billion yuan (US$867.83 million), the hub is scheduled for completion by 2027.

Drug catalog

SHENZHEN has enhanced medical coverage as it incorporates 126 new drugs into its medical insurance scheme, effective from Jan. 1.

The move is expected to reduce patients’ burdens by over 40 billion yuan over the next two years, with emphasis on cancer drugs, medications for chronic illnesses, and therapeutics for rare diseases.
