Nature meets adventure in Longgang Children’s Park
    2024-01-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

NESTLED in a forest, Longgang Children’s Park, home to Asia’s largest pirate ship and a mountain-perched Ferris wheel, opened to the public last week.

Covering 320,000 square meters, the park, adjacent to Metro Line 16’s Yuyuan Station, was meticulously designed to complement the existing forest and mountain terrain. In addition to the 108-seat pirate ship, the park also features various amusement facilities, the Forest Adventure Theater, the Children’s Growth Center, a nature education center, several first-class halls and handmade hiking trails, forming various recreational routes throughout the mountain and the forest.

From above, the park glistens like a jewel adorning the picturesque mountain; within, it unfolds as a comprehensive recreational haven brimming with challenges, unique features and adventures.

Notably, the park’s imagery draws inspiration from Longgang’s national-level intangible cultural heritage — the Yongshengtang Kylin Dance, featured prominently in decorations and guidance markers in the park.

Visitors are required to reserve their visit through the park’s WeChat account (“龙岗儿童公园”) before entering it.
