On one’s case 说三道四
    2024-01-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A: Are you working overtime again?

B: Yes, my boss has been on my case all week to get that report done.

Note: This idiom means to “constantly or frequently nag, harass, or annoy someone.” It often refers to a scenario where someone is persistently pursuing or questioning someone else, in the similar way to a detective who is “on the case.” A detective always takes an active interest in all people and things that might lead to a solution. For example: I won’t get on your case anymore.
