THIS year’s first strong cold front will start affecting Shenzhen on Saturday night with temperatures expected to dip below 10 degrees Celsius next week, according to information released by the city’s meteorological authority Thursday.

Temperatures from next Tuesday to Thursday are expected to plunge below 10 degrees Celsius. As the weather turns cold, citizens are strongly advised to stay warm and wear appropriate clothing to mitigate the effects of the chilly conditions.

From next Monday to Wednesday, the maximum wind gusts are forecast to reach level 7, and light rain is expected Tuesday. Temperatures will gradually rise again by next Thursday, according to the authority.
