SHENZHEN is ready to receive visitors from all over the country to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, launching a cultural and tourism carnival that will feature over 200 activities in all districts, new area, and the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone.

During the eight-day Spring Festival holiday, which starts Feb. 10, Shenzhen will offer a variety of cultural and tourism activities, sports events, cultural and creative products, intangible cultural heritage, and public services throughout the holiday season, showcasing Shenzhen’s technology, vitality, natural landscape, and native fashion trends to tourists.

A number of well-known local technology companies including Huawei, BYD, Tencent, and DJI will open their doors to the public during the holiday, with cultural events organized for the visitors.

Meanwhile, high-quality industrial tourism resources such as Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, China National GeneBank, Shenzhen Observatory, and BYD Skyshuttle Operation Center will also be available to tourists.

Shenzhen will launch a series of cultural and tourism products in Dapeng New Area, where the national protected historic site Dapeng Fortress is located. In addition, a classic tourism route will be launched to meet the needs of students, families, and tourists from Hong Kong and Macao.

Nestled amid its own unique natural tapestry, Shenzhen invites visitors to embrace the outdoors during the festival.

A group of athletes including Lin Dan, Wang Liuyi, and Wang Qianyi will take part in a hiking activity that spans five parks, traversing Meilin Hill Park, Yinhu Hill Park, Bijia Hill Park, Shenzhen Central Park, and Lianhua Hill Park. Visitors can retrace their steps and immerse themselves in the scenery.

A new sightseeing cruise route around Lantau Island will be available during the Spring Festival holiday. Visitors can board the cruise ship at Shekou Cruise Homeport, enjoy creative cuisine, and pass under the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The city’s mountains and over 1,000 parks with lush vegetation and blooming flowers are also must-visit attractions for those seeking deeper immersion in nature.
