Robotaxis from Ontime, also known as Ruqi Mobility, are seen on a Shenzhen road. Ontime, the ride-hailing unit of Chinese auto giant GAC Group, has officially launched its robotaxi service in Shenzhen, the company announced Tuesday. With approval for conducting passenger-carrying robotaxi demonstrations in various areas in Shenzhen including Qianhai, the Yuehai area in Nanshan District, and the airport area in Bao’an District, Ontime has integrated robotaxi services into its existing traditional manned taxi ride-hailing platform. Currently, a number of enterprises such as AutoX, Baidu, DeepRoute.ai, Pony.ai, and Ontime have initiated robotaxi operations in Shenzhen, contributing to the widespread commercialization of autonomous driving technology in the city.    Courtesy of Ontime
