WHEN it comes to whimsical, larger-than-life fashion, nothing beats the Paris haute couture shows.

Celebrities, editors and designers are congregating in the City of Love this week for the hotly anticipated Spring-Summer 2024 collections at Haute Couture Fashion Week.

The event kicked off on Schiaparelli’s runway Monday, where the stars were out in full force. Zendaya stole the limelight, donning an all black gown with knot-embellished sleeves and a ruched ponytail-esque train, complete with razor sharp micro bangs. Also in attendance, Jennifer Lopez, who commanded attention in an elaborate petaled white coat, paired with opulent surrealist-style gold eyebrow glasses.

Later on, Rihanna in a voluminous black brocade puffer jacket, Natalie Portman in a textured dress underneath a classic black blazer and Elizabeth Debicki, spinning a classic button-up shirt into high fashion with an off-the-shoulder sleeve, showcased star glamour at Dior’s show.

The next day the couture presentations began with Chanel, where front-row attendees, including Naomi Campbell, Kendrick Lamar and Lucy Boynton, sported chic attire. Gwyneth Paltrow rounded out the day at Armani Privé. On Wednesday, the highly-anticipated Jean Paul Gaultier show, with Simone Rocha as guest designer, saw Kylie Jenner make a grand entrance in a sheer dress, alongside names like Kelly Rutherford, Noah Cyrus and Baz Luhrmann.

The fare certainly turns out to be a showcase of the industry’s most elite and decadent looks — both on and off the catwalks.
