TEMPERATURES in Shenzhen will drop significantly Thursday and Friday, with a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius or below. A yellow alert for cold fronts is likely to be issued, the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said yesterday.

Rainy and foggy weather is forecast to continue this week. Starting Saturday, the first day of the Spring Festival holiday, temperatures are anticipated to rise once again, accompanied by sunny conditions, according to information released by the observatory.

The current rain, snow, and freezing weather observed in central and eastern China is projected to shift eastward and southward, affecting regions such as eastern Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi, and northern Guangdong from tomorrow until Friday.

The widespread rain, snow, and freezing weather across the country are expected to subside around Saturday.
