Chinese calligraphy is a unique gem in the world of art. On Feb. 25, Zach Mills from the United States, who is a big fan of traditional Chinese culture, visited the studio of talented calligrapher Ouyang Fanxing.

With Ouyang’s guidance, Mills gained a wealth of knowledge about this profound art form — from choosing the right brush to understanding the structure of Chinese characters. Mills also collaborated with Ouyang to write the Chinese character “龙” (dragon), which is the Chinese zodiac creature for 2024.
