SHENZHEN Bao’an International Airport handled over 1.23 million passenger trips during the first week of the Spring Festival travel rush from Jan. 26 to Thursday, a year-on-year increase of 61.7%, according to the airport.

The busiest day saw more than 182,000 passenger trips, reaching the peak level of last year’s National Day holiday. On Jan. 31, the number of departing passengers reached a record high, topping 100,000 for the first time.

Online reservations

THE Fairy Lake Botanical Garden and Hongfa Temple will require online reservations for entry from Friday to Feb. 17 during the Spring Festival holiday, and on Feb. 24, the Lantern Festival, according to an announcement issued by the Luohu District Government.

Citizens can purchase tickets for the botanical garden through the garden’s official WeChat account. It is noteworthy that from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, the garden will be closed.
