Guanlan Old Market

Dream-like light shows are projected onto the facades of old towers and houses in Guanlan Old Market at 7-9 p.m. every night, immersing visitors in a dazzling world blending the old and the new.

Venue: Guanlan Old Market, Longhua District (观澜古墟)

Metro: Line 4 to Guanlan Station (观澜站), Exit B

OCT Harbor

The Greater Bay Area Super Light Show features a 20,000-square-meter exhibition with over 40 sets of light installations, as well as flashmobs, a food market, and lucky draws. The ticketed show runs at 5-10 p.m. every night until March 3.

Venue: OCT Harbor, Nanshan District (欢乐海岸)

Glow Shenzhen

Glow Shenzhen, a grand light festival running through this Sunday, features 215 works and installations of light art displayed across the city. Citizens can check the event’s official WeChat account (ID: glowshenzhen) for information on the locations of the artworks.

Huaqiangbei

Now through this Sunday, people can stroll along Huaqiangbei Pedestrian Street to admire national-level intangible cultural heritage lanterns from Zigong, Luoyang, the Chaoshan area, Fuzhou, and Huangshan’s She County, as well as lanterns in the style of those used in the Forbidden City.

Splendid China

The Splendid China•China Folk Culture Villages theme park is hosting a lantern carnival running through March 10. The event sees the entire park illuminated, featuring seven lantern viewing zones across a 520,000-square-meter area. Themed around mystical and fantastical Oriental mythologies, the carnival has enlisted approximately 100 intangible cultural heritage masters from Zigong.
