LONGHUA District partnered with over 20 quality enterprises from the district to attend the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC), which was held in Barcelona, Spain from Feb. 26 to Thursday. The district and enterprises showcased their latest innovative and groundbreaking products at the MWC, including power equipment, global positioning systems, wireless local area networks, and hand-held terminals, aiming to tap the European market.

This year’s MWC, with a strong emphasis on 5G-A and AI technologies, attracted more than 100,000 attendees, with more than 2,400 enterprises from over 200 countries and regions, including over 300 Chinese exhibitors.

During the conference, an exchange meeting was held to facilitate communication between Longhua District enterprises and global exhibitors. Longhua District introduced its geographical advantages and business environment, while the exhibitors gave presentations featuring the telecom sectors to explore collaboration opportunities.

While visiting the Longhua pavilion, Xavier Mayo, head of International Promotion of Barcelona City Council, helped promote Longhua to the world.

“I would like to extend a warm welcome to the Longhua delegation, composed of institutions and companies. It is really impressive to learn what Shenzhen has been able to accomplish in the past year. We have a longstanding relationship with Shenzhen. We are sister cities and we have a direct connection,” said Mayo.

Longhua has pushed forward strategic measures to promote district-wide digitalization through enlarging the digital network and supporting the telecom industry.
