EYESHENZHEN is offering a chance! Our new user-generated content (UGC) column, which will feature content contributed by expat readers, is seeking submissions.

Who may submit

Expats living or used to live/work in Shenzhen, including international students studying or who used to study in the city, are all welcomed to contribute to the column.

What to submit

EyeShenzhen is looking for content in two categories:

1. Content related to everything about Shenzhen. This can be your feelings after watching a beautiful sunrise or admiring blooming flowers on the roadside, or your thoughts about the city’s people, services, or industries, or somewhere in between;

2. Insights into topics such as technology, innovation, urban development, culture, social life, or trending topics, preferably with some discussion of Shenzhen.

Article, photo, and video submissions are all welcomed. Submissions in English and Chinese will be accepted. The preferred length for article submissions is between 500 and 1,000 English words or Chinese characters, but longer articles will also be accepted.

Where the works will be published

Selected works will be published on one or more of the following platforms:

*EyeShenzhen official WeChat account

*EyeShenzhen website

*Shenzhen Daily newspaper

Outstanding contributions will also have opportunities to appear on other media platforms, and outstanding contributors may be invited to pen a column on one or more of the above-mentioned platforms.

Rewards

Contributors whose works get published will receive payment and a small gift from EyeShenzhen.

How to submit

All works shall be submitted to eyeshenzhen@126.com. In addition to your article(s), photo(s), and/or video(s), please also include in the email:

1. Your contact information, including phone number and WeChat account;

2. A brief introduction to yourself (including your full name, nationality, and a short self-description) as well as a photo of you.
