SZ’s power supply reliability improved
    2024-03-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN has built 10 high-quality power supply leading areas, with the average duration of a power outage lasting less than 2.5 minutes last year, a duration that is among the shortest in the world, according to the Shenzhen power supply bureau of China Southern Power Grid.

Among the 10 areas, the Futian CBD, the Hongling emerging financial industrial belt in Luohu District, and the Qianhai & Shekou Area of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone saw a voltage qualification rate of 100%.

A stable and reliable power supply is fundamental to economic and social development. The Shenzhen power supply bureau successfully built a high-reliability demonstration area in Futian District in 2018, with the goal of serving as a template for the development and renovation of world-class distribution networks in China’s most developed urban areas.

A high-quality power supply leading area is an upgrade of the high reliability demonstration area that applies top-notch power supply management systems to promote a significant improvement in power supply levels, according to the bureau.

Sixty-four key projects, including the 110 kilovolt Jinlong power transmission and distribution project in the high-quality power supply leading area of Shenzhen North Railway Station International Business District, have started since the beginning of this year.

Overall progress has reached 51%, and the projects are expected to be fully completed by the end of the year, said the bureau. (Zhang Yu)
