THE Shenzhen Concert Hall has curated four shows in celebration of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. Organ concert Olivier Latry, the titular organist at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame and a professor of organ at the Paris Conservatory of Music, will perform a concert tomorrow evening. The program features Liszt’s “Liebestraum” (“Love Dream”), Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue in E Minor, BWV 548,” excerpts from Saint-Saëns’ beloved “Carnival of the Animals,” Jehan Alain’s “Aria,” and Maurice Duruflé’s “Prelude and Fugue in B Major, Op. 7, No. 1,” among others. As one of the most distinguished concert organists in the world today, Latry will also showcase his improvisational skills during the concert. Educated at the Toulouse Conservatory in France and the Catalonia College of Music in Spain, Coulondre was named New Artist of the Year at the Les Victoires du Jazz awards in 2016. Known for his adeptness at performing on multiple keyboards during concerts, he tours international jazz festival stages. The program for his Shenzhen concert draws largely from his two albums, “Michel on My Mind” and “A Trip in Marseille.” Time: 7:30 p.m., April 14 Tickets: 80-280 yuan Violin Glamour Violinist Asi Matathias, recognized as one of the most celebrated talents of his generation, made his debut at 14 with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta, displaying musical maturity and inspiration far beyond his age. Collaborating with pianist Victor Stanislavski, Matathias will perform virtuosic pieces such as Vitali’s “Chaconne in G Minor” and Sarasate’s “Zigeunerweisen” (“Gypsy Airs”).
