Laid to rest in blossoms
    2024-03-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Relatives and friends bow to their deceased beloved ones during a flower burial at the Jitian Cemetery in Longgang District on Thursday. It was the first flower burial held by the city’s funeral service center, which saw the ashes of 252 deceased people placed in biodegradable containers and buried beneath flower beds. The flower burial area has five flower beds that are not engraved, named, or labeled. The eco-friendly burials are free.  Courtesy of the city’s civil affairs authority
