HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge gears up for holiday travel surge
    2024-04-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao wait in line to enter Zhuhai on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in this photo released yesterday. The bridge is expected to brace for heavy vehicle and passenger traffic as the Qingming Festival holiday is approaching. Since new policies were implemented in 2023, Hong Kong and Macao single-licensed vehicles have been allowed to head north into the mainland through the bridge. Before the policies, only dual-plate vehicles — those registered both in the mainland and in Hong Kong or Macao — could make cross-border journeys.   (More holiday stories on P3)  Xinhua
