Pre-holiday traffic peak expected this afternoon
    2024-04-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

PEAK traffic on expressways for vehicles leaving the city for the Qingming Festival holiday is expected to occur from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, according to predictions by the traffic police department.

The inbound traffic peak is expected to occur from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Saturday.

The upcoming Qingming Festival holiday is set to last from tomorrow until Saturday.

To ensure the safety and smooth flow of road traffic in the city, the traffic police have initiated comprehensive efforts, including maximizing the deployment of police on roads and increasing patrols of key road sections, roads around scenic spots, and highways. Road patrols will also be intensified in the areas surrounding key cemeteries.

During the holiday, Shenzhen may experience thundershowers and heavy rain at times. Additionally, the risk of strong convective weather will be higher, according to the latest weather forecast. (Wang Jingli)
