Many Hong Kong residents flock to catch a glimpse of the Xuelong 2, China’s first domestically made icebreaker for polar expeditions, which arrived in Hong Kong yesterday for a five-day visit. The Xuelong 2, which visited Hong Kong for the very first time, entered the Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui after completing its latest Antarctic expedition. The icebreaker will be open for public visits from today to Friday. During their stay in Hong Kong, the Antarctic expedition team will hold a two-day international conference on climate change at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
