Nanshan offers subsidies to new energy firms
    2024-04-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

ENTERPRISES that settle in Nanshan District and help support the new energy industry can receive a one-off award of up to 100 million yuan (US$13.82 million), according to the latest document released by the district for promoting the high-quality growth of the new energy sector.

Based on factors such as business size and contributions, enterprises engaged in key fields such as energy storage batteries and systems, intelligent photovoltaics, natural gas trade, charging facilities, energy-efficient electronic devices, comprehensive energy solutions, hydrogen energy, and offshore wind power operation and maintenance are eligible for the award, as per the supportive measures.

Additionally, core professionals in these enterprises will receive a one-time subsidy of up to 6 million yuan.

The district will also award enterprises and public institutions that undertake the establishment of innovation platforms such as provincial and municipal engineering research centers and enterprise technology centers with 1 million yuan and 500,000 yuan, respectively.

As part of its efforts to promote new technologies, Nanshan encourages demonstration applications of drones powered by hydrogen fuel cells.

For enterprises and public institutions purchasing hydrogen-powered drones produced in the district, a one-time subsidy of 20% of the procurement amount will be provided for first-time purchases, with a maximum subsidy of 1 million yuan, the district said.

For new energy storage demonstration projects such as sodium-ion batteries, flow batteries, and flywheel energy storage, a subsidy of 200 yuan per kilowatt hour will be given based on the installed capacity, with a maximum of 1 million yuan per project, according to the document. (Zhang Yu)
